    Play by the Rules

    In this venue, everyone is welcome, from OCs to NPCs to lurkers and anyone else who might wish to show up. For the most part, don't be a dick and you'll be fine; everything else will generally get a gentle nudge of reminder unless you're actively making problems for people. But as a more comprehensive list, though staff reserves the right to add or change things as needed:

    • DO NOT TOUCH THE BOOKS: There will be severe IC consequences.

    • SFW ONLY: This venue is FULLY SFW. Violating this will result in instant removal.

    • NO BIGOTRY: This means any and all -isms and -phobias and the like. Even if it's meant as a joke, please don't do it here. This also includes reclaimed slurs -- this venue is not the time nor place, thank you. Violating this is also grounds for instant removal.

    • No emote spam: When using default SE emotes, please have the text line turned off if using them more than once.

    • Weapons & Minions Hidden: Please hide weapons and dismiss minions. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis if discussed with staff ahead of time for in-character reasons (e.g. a seeing-eye dog).

    • No Yell/Shout: These chat channels are intended for staff use only, so please keep even raised voices to /say or /em, thank you.

    • No Spoilers: This is primarily intended to mean talking about MSQ events with any NPC RPers that may be around, but also applies generally. If you wish to talk about something, please keep it vague. (e.g. "the traumatic event of eld.")

    • Lurking: If you wish to lurk without ever being addressed, let either Hythlodaeus or Hades know or put up a busy status, and no staff member will approach. <3

    The Venue

    The Bakery

    Right in the entrance is the main area of the bakery, where freshly baked goods line the walls and so, so many display cases. How does Hythlodaeus bake this much so swiftly? The answers to some questions are not meant to be comprehended by mortal minds.

    A bakery view

    Watch through the window where the magic happens, as Hythlodaeus' kitchen/baking area is in full view for all patrons. Though he has a tendency to get distracted chatting with patrons, technically all menu items are available to be made fresh while patrons watch for a 200% markup.

    The Elpis Room

    A lush, verdant setting perfect for smaller groups, the Elpis room is filled with colour-changing flowers that blanket the floor, lush greenery on every wall, and a pool filled with koi. And in case anyone was wondering, their names--Yamabuki Ogon (gold): Azem
    Purachina Ogon (white): Hesperos
    Kohaku (orange pattern): Kleon

    The South Seas Room

    On the second floor is a room themed in rich, luxurious colours, decorated around south seas furniture. This area is perfect for a larger gathering, but can also be occupied by a couple smaller parties as well if need be.

    The Sharlayan Room

    A perfect room for studying in, the Sharlayan room is surrounded in wall to wall couches, making it ideal for the largest of parties, or multiple gathered smaller ones.* Please note: studying not recommended. And anyone who touches Hades' books will be obliterated ejected from the premises, Hades, we talked about this...

    Restricted Areas

    Hyth's Veranda

    Overlooking the bakery is a flowery area where Hyth keeps his personal snacks and can take a rest overlooking it all. Access by any non-staff is strictly prohibited, Hythlodaeus, no matter how nice people look or act or how many times you give me puppy eyes.

    Hades' Library

    Though there are thousands of books present, they are all STRICTLY OFF LIMITS TO PATRONS OF THE BAKERY. The chair, also off limits! The coffee, off limits! DO NOT TEST THIS YOU WILL BE SEVERELY PUNISHED, and you had better pray that Hythlodaeus is around to save you.

    Hythlodaeus Philos

    Despite being terrible with money and seemingly carefree as the wind itself, Hythlodaeus is a shockingly skilled baker -- it seems anything sweet that gets his loving attention will always end up of masterful quality. Hyth loves baking, meeting new people, and being an utter pain in Hades' ass.....just don't ask him to cook anything other than sweets. He's banned from serving proper food by the Culinarian's Guild.

    Hades Philos

    While sweet things are never to Hades' taste, someone has to keep Hythlodaeus from bankrupting such an establishment -- and keep an eye on him. Skilled at cooking, rather than baking, Hades doesn't partake in most of what's offered; such an "honor" goes to Hythlodaeus, and Hythlodaeus only.
